How much do your services cost?

Call-outs are charged from £85 +VAT for the first hour, then £42.50 per half-hour after that, with no call-out fee. Larger jobs like boiler installations are quoted at a fixed price before any work begins. There are no hidden extras — no parking, fuel, ULEZ, or Congestion Charge surcharges. Which areas do you cover?

We cover Greater London and the Home Counties, including Essex, Kent, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire. Check our areas page to find your nearest PrimeFix team.

How quickly can an engineer get to me?

For emergencies, an engineer is typically on site within 1–3 hours, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with no out-of-hours surcharge. For planned work, we'll book a time slot that suits you.

Are your engineers qualified and accredited?

Yes. All PrimeFix engineers hold relevant trade qualifications, including Gas Safe registration, NVQ Levels 2 and 3, and NICEIC approval where applicable. The company is CHAS accredited and SafeContractor approved.

Is your work guaranteed?

Every job is backed by an 18-month workmanship guarantee, an itemised invoice, and a digital report where needed — including insurer-accepted reports for leak detection and trace-and-access claims.

How much does a heating or gas call-out cost?

Our engineers diagnose the problem first, then confirm a price before any work starts. Once you accept the quote, work is charged at £99 +VAT for the first hour and £49.50 +VAT per half-hour after, with no call-out fee.

Do you offer landlord gas safety certificates?

Yes. We carry out CP12 gas safety checks and issue certification that meets legal requirements for rented properties.

How quickly can you get to a no-heat emergency?

No heat and no hot water are treated as priority callouts, and most are seen the same day.

Do you install new boilers, or just repair them?

Both. We advise our clients on whether a repair or replacement is the best long-term solution for their home. We cover boiler service, repair, and full replacements.

Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?

Yes, every engineer working on gas appliances or systems is Gas Safe registered.
